Challenge: Material rescue; sustainable prototyping. Co-designer: Katherine King.
Katherine King and I collaborated to create this wall sconce from coffee sleeves fresh out of trashcans and dumpsters; we inlaid the sconce with torn pages from discarded sci-fi novels.
The sconce is designed to elongate the life of sleeves in general and take advantage of their innate properties; it is made from materials rescued from Atlantan dumpsters and street trash cans.
